Jessica had a simple life until she discovered that her ordinary parents – a dentist and a teacher – were actually vampire hunters. Pressured to follow the family tradition, she sets out on a journey to prove once and for all that vampires don't exist and that her parents need therapy. While attending the university where an alleged vampire works, she makes strange friends, such as otakus, and is pursued by cheerleaders and other popular types. And before you know it, she ends up being interested in a guy who can only be a vampire – pale, handsome, only goes out at night and looks like he wears a lot of eyeliner.
